SKILL: MODERATOR
My journey as a Moderator started with a background in Emceeing and Hosting. As my career continued to be a balance of performance and engagement, I found myself consistently facilitating intricate dialogue with a care for inclusivity. Also drawing from my performing arts background, I bring a unique blend of charisma, professionalism, and stage presence to the art of moderation.

Moderator Experience #4: Malaysian Philosophy Society
Thinkers Cafe
After being handpicked by the Malaysian Philosophy Society to be one of their Ambassadors, I was given the opportunity to be the Moderator for some of their monthly panel discussions, also known as Thinkers Cafe.
As Moderator, I facilitate participants’ intellectual exchanges and thoughtful dialogue, while keeping conversations not only relevant but also respectful and inclusive. I get to apply a variety of skills, such as active listening, time management, summarisation, inclusive behaviour, and so on.

Moderator Experience #2: Taylor's Lakeside Dance Club x Taylor's Speaker's Corner Online Forum #1 : Dancing 6ft Apart

I was hired to moderate their panel of three speakers for their online forum during global lockdown in 2020, and my key learning from this experience was [INSERT LEARNING HERE]
Moderator Experience #1: Taylor's Digital Open Day
After being recognised as a talent by the Head of Creative Content at Taylor’s University in 2018, I have since been a returning student talent for their marketing videos. I started as the host for their Rapid Fire Series, then I was promoted to moderate their 2020 Digital Open Day. Initially held in January, the event proved successful, leading to my rehiring for a second session in March due to my competent performance. These were live interactive sessions with Taylorians, covering a variety of topics on all things Taylor’s.
This means I moderated for their Digital Open Day twice, just before the 2020 lockdown. From these two experiences, I learned the importance of self reflection on the job in order to improve my performance quality live.
