I stumbled upon this profession during university when the Head of Creative Content at Taylor's University in 2018 saw potential in me and asked me to be the Host for his piece of content. With my innate ability to hold vibrant conversations and friendly mannerisms, I make both participants and viewers feel engaged and included!
Responsible for hosting as an Emcee for Le Petit Chef’s 90-minute dining experience, I collaborate with the kitchen team to synchronise food service timings & storytelling in between to create seamless culinary experiences. After Hosting, I collect and compile customer feedback, producing comprehensive reports after each session.
My commitment is to turn every meal into a memorable experience by blending precision and hospitality, with a growth mindset to always improve upon the last service, every single time.
QA Talks’ “Codeless Conference 2022”.
This online conference talked about industry changes, specifically pertaining all things codeless.
As per usual, I crafted the Host script for this conference as well. Around this time, I also got promoted to being the Host Lead.
Nicely engaged the audience for 2 days of the event, appreciate it!
While hosting for CEOs or elder speakers, please be bit cautious and maintain medium flow hosting.
Looking forward to your contribution for future events too. Thanks
QA Talks’ “QA Detective Conference 2021”.
This online conference put forward that testers/automation engineers should be like detectives investigating in their line of work. I hosted both days of the virtual conference and was also moderator for their QnA sessions between their esteemed speakers and audience members.
Since I crafted a “Webinar Host Guide”, I was tasked with creating the Host script for this conference, which was well received.
QA Talks’ webinar collaboration with community partner, testomat.io!
I was host to Michael Bodnarchuk, CTO at testomat.io. Here, I tested my “Webinar Host Guide” for the first time and gathered ground work intel that allowed me to further fine tune the document.
This series is about interview experiences related to all things QA.
Here I hosted with Shikha Gupta, a HR Leader and we covered interview preparation strategies utilizing her 18 years of expertise in talent acquisition and HR management. After this webinar, I felt experienced enough to craft a “Webinar Host Guide” not just for myself, but for the QA Talks team.
QA Talks’ first Global Summit “QA Talks – UK & Europe Edition 2021”.
This online conference was on quality assurance, best practices, test automation tools & techniques.
I hosted for all three days of the virtual conference and was also moderator for their QnA sessions. Here I proved capable to Host large scale virtual conferences, thus securing me as their repeat Host.
This is a series of Cypress related talks for the QA community.
Hosting QA Talks’ webinars were their way of evaluating my capabilities as a Host when they first hired me. After hosting a few of their webinars, they then hired me to host virtual conferences like the ones above.
My fourth and final time hosting before graduating from Taylor’s University’s American Degree Transfer Program. The learning curve from this episode was the most transferrable for my newly established career; it was realising that the values of the talents can sometimes challenge the production engaging them.
This is my second time Hosting, so the fact that I got asked to do this again meant that I was doing something right. With that, I determined to do even better than the first time. Here, I (1) unlocked my ability to read non-verbal cues and (2) further refined my question phrasing technical skill.
My journey to being a host started here, when the Head of Creative Content at Taylor’s University in 2018 chose me to be the very first host of the Taylor’s Rapid Fire series. When the first Rapid Fire was successful due to high engagement, I’ve been their returning host since. After each one, I’ve gained feedback and reflected on how to better my craft as their host ever since.
Since this was my very first time Hosting, I had a deep learning curve and insights included; (1) Social Energy, (2) Question Phrasing, and (3) Contextualising Conversations.
